- Provide a compact, energy efficient audio amplifier that shall support one digital audio input received from a Dante™ audio network, one mono amplified output with 100 watts rms power output into a 70 volt line, and one line level output.
- Compact mono amplifier with 100 watts rms power output into a 70 volt line, Dante audio networking, and Ecofficient Level 3 qualification
- Input Requirements
- Shall support one digital audio input, received from a Dante audio network via an RJ-45 connector
- Output Requirements
- Shall support one balanced or unbalanced line level signal on one 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Output will provide Dante audio pass-through
- Shall support one high impedance speaker level signal on one 2-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connector
- Shall provide a total of 100 watts rms output power into a 70 volt line measured at 1 kHz with 0.1% THD
- Shall provide a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 90 dB measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, unweighted
- Shall support a minimum load impedance of 50 ohms
- Shall provide a THD+N measurement of less than 0.1% measured at 1 kHz, at 8 ohms and 3 dB below clipping
- Shall provide a switch-selectable high pass filter for frequencies below 80 Hz with a 12 dB per octave rolloff
- Shall support one balanced or unbalanced line level signal on one 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Amplifier Requirements
- Shall utilize an efficient Class D amplifier design
- Shall provide Class D Ripple Suppression technology
- Shall be convection cooled and operate without fans or vents
- Shall provide an automatic clip limiter to detect onset of clipping by comparing input and output waveforms and automatically reduce gain without audible artifacts to eliminate clipping distortion
- Shall provide multiple protection circuits that activate during output shorts, thermal overload, or DC faults
- Dante Audio Networking Requirements
- Shall support an incoming channel over a local area network using standard Internet protocols
- One incoming Dante channel from a Dante-equipped digital signal processor will be tied to the amplifier’s input section
- Shall support Dante Controller software for digital audio network configuration
- Shall provide an RJ-45 connector to support Dante audio network connection
- Shall synchronize to the master clock on the Dante network
- Shall provide uncompressed digital audio at 48 kHz sampling rate with 24-bit resolution
- Shall support an incoming channel over a local area network using standard Internet protocols
- Power Requirements
- Shall draw 22.7 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation
- Shall draw 7.5 watts during quiescent operation
- Shall provide a low power standby mode
- Shall enter standby mode after 25 minutes (+/- 5 minutes) of inactivity
- Shall draw less than 2 watts while in standby mode
- Shall return to full power status in less than one second upon signal detection while in standby mode
- Shall feature an input signal detection threshold of -60 dBFS, +/- 3 dB to deactivate standby mode
- Shall provide a defeatable auto standby timer
- Shall meet Ecofficient Level 3 requirements
- Shall provide internal universal power supply with IEC power socket and support for international 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz standards
- Control Requirements
- Shall support remote standby control on one 2-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Front Panel Requirements
- Shall provide an LED for power indication that lights green when the unit is receiving power and active, and lights amber when the unit is in standby mode
- LED shall blink momentarily in the same color and pattern as the Link indicator LED on the rear panel when an “Identify Device” request is sent from Dante Controller software
- Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
- Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
- Shall provide an LED for power indication that lights green when the unit is receiving power and active, and lights amber when the unit is in standby mode
- Rear Panel Requirements
- Shall provide an RJ-45 connector to support Dante digital audio network connection and one incoming digital audio channel
- Shall provide one balanced or unbalanced line level output on 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall provide one speaker outputs on 2-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connector
- Shall support 22 AWG to 12 AWG speaker cables
- Shall provide remote standby control port on one 2-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall provide recessed, detented potentiometers for attenuation adjustment
- Shall provide a switch for selecting a high pass filter to roll off frequencies below 80 Hz with a 12 dB per octave rolloff
- Shall provide green LED for indication of synchronization to the master clock on the Dante network
- LED shall blink green when the unit generates the network audio clock
- LED shall light solid green when the unit is locked to the network audio clock

- General Requirements
- Shall be enclosed in a rack-mountable 1U, half rack width metal enclosure
- Shall meet regulatory compliances
- Shall meet safety compliances under CE, c-UL, and UL
- Shall meet UL 60065, IEC 60065, and BSEN 60065 for safety
- Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, C-tick, EN 55103-1, EN 55103-2, FCC Class B, ICES, and VCCI Class B
- Shall comply with appropriate requirements of EU code of conduct, RoHS, and WEEE
- Shall provide three years parts and labor warranty
