- Provide an Ethernet-enabled control processor for the purpose of remotely controlling, monitoring and troubleshooting connected AV equipment and AV systems.
- Ethernet-enabled control processor
- Provide one IEC-320-C14 male power connector on a six-inch cable directly hardwired to the back of the processor that supports 100-240 VAC, 10 Amps, 50/60 Hz power that serves as an input as well as provides power to the control processor via an internal universal AC power supply.
- Provide one IEC-320-C13 female power connector on a six-inch cable directly hardwired to the back of the processor that supports 100-240 VAC, 10 Amps, 50/60 Hz power that is designated as an output that can be used to remotely control and monitor both the power status and power consumption of an AV system component.
- Provide one RS-232 port on a captive screw connector located on the back of the processor that can be used for unidirectional or bidirectional control of an AV system component.
- Provide three digital I/O’s on captive screw connectors that can be used to interface with devices such as sensors, switches, LEDs and relays.
- Provide one IR/Serial port on a captive screw connector located on the back of the processor. This port shall allow the transmission of IR signals (using an IR emitter) or unidirectional RS-232 communications for control of AV system components.
- Provide one eBUS® port on a 4-pole captive screw connector located on the back of the control processor for connecting to eBUS devices.
- Provide one female RJ-45 jack located on the back of the enclosure that supports 10/100/1000Base-T, half/full duplex with auto-detect for connection to a LAN or WAN and includes link and activity LED indicators located on the left and right of the jack for troubleshooting network issues.
- Provide a multi-function button located on the front of the control processor that allows for the reset of the device or its communication properties at minimum.
- Provide a single power button located on the front of the control processor that can be used to toggle the output power on and off.
- Power button can be disabled via a Front Panel Lockout feature that can be activated in the software.
- Provide a 10-amp circuit breaker located on the front of the control processor allowing for over-current protection for remotely controlled connected devices.
- Provide front panel LED activity indicators for device power status, output power status, eBUS status, RS-232 status, digital I/O status, IR/S status, and network status.
- Provide an internal real-time clock with backup battery that is used to keep track of the date and time.
- Device shall support the following protocols: ICMP (ping), IEEE 802.1X, IPv4, TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, NTP, SFTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH.
- Device shall support a web-based AV resource management application that provides a means to manage, monitor, and control AV equipment.
- Device shall have at least 8 GB of nonvolatile memory.
- Device shall support the addition of an Extron LinkLicense®.
- Mounting requirements
- Device shall be housed in a 1 RU, quarter rack width metal enclosure.
- Device shall be able to be rack mounted using an optional rack shelf.
- Device shall be able to be installed under a table, desk, or other flat surface using an optional mounting kit.
- Device shall be mountable on a projector mounting pole using an optional mounting kit.
- Software requirements
- The device may only be configured or programmed using Extron’s Global Configurator Plus or Professional, or Global Scripter respectively.
- Device drivers and modules can be obtained through Extron support resources and database.
- Shall be configured or programmed by an Extron authorized user.
- The device's configuration and settings shall be managed using Extron's Toolbelt software.
- Security Requirements
- Device shall support SFTP and SSH for secure communication between the control processor and a TouchLink Pro touchpanel or Network Button Panel.
- Device shall support HTTPS and SSH for secure communication between the control processor and Extron Control App.
- Device shall support HTTPS for secure communication between the control processor and Extron Control for Web.
- Device shall support SSH for secure communication between the control processor and controlled device for configured and programmed systems.
- Device shall support SFTP and SSH for secure communication between the control processor and the configuration or programming software.
- Device shall provide the option to modify administrator and user credentials.
- Device shall support security updates to maintain network health.
- Device shall require that a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate is installed to maintain system confidentiality and data integrity.
- Device shall support the installation of an owner furnished certificate with the following properties:
- Certificates shall include x.509 support
- Certificates shall include public / private key exchange
- Certificates shall support PEM encoding
- Extron shall furnish documentation that describes all supported network ports and services.
