XPA 1002
- Provide a compact, energy efficient audio amplifier that shall support two analog inputs and two amplified outputs with 60 or 100 watts rms power output per channel.
- Compact stereo amplifier with 60 or 100 watts rms power output per channel and Ecofficient Level 3 qualification
- Input Requirements
- Shall support two, balanced or unbalanced line level signals on one 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall support wiring of a mono source to both the left and right input for bridged output operation
- Output Requirements
- Shall support two speaker level signals on one 4-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connector
- Shall provide a total of 200 watts rms output power with 100 watts rms per channel into 4 ohms, or 60 watts rms per channel into 8 ohms measured at 1 kHz with less than 0.05% THD
- Shall provide a signal-to-noise ratio of 105 dB measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, unweighted
- Shall support bridging of the output to provide 200 watts rms output power into 8 ohms
- Shall support a minimum load impedance of 8 ohms during bridged operation
- Shall provide a THD+N measurement of less than 0.05% measured from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, at 8 ohms and 3 dB below clipping
- Shall provide damping factor of greater than 100 at 8 ohms
- Amplifier Requirements
- Shall utilize an efficient Class D amplifier design
- Shall provide Class D Ripple Suppression technology
- Shall be convection cooled and operate without fans or vents
- Shall provide an automatic clip limiter to detect onset of clipping by comparing input and output waveforms and automatically reduce gain without audible artifacts to eliminate clipping distortion
- Shall provide multiple protection circuits that activate during output shorts, thermal overload, or DC faults
- Shall provide power factor correction technology to remove harmonic content on the AC power line
- Power Requirements
- Shall draw 43 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with both output channels driven with 4 ohm loads
- Shall draw 30 watts during typical (1/8 power) operation with both output channels driven with 8 ohm loads
- Shall draw 10 watts during quiescent operation
- Shall provide a low power standby mode
- Shall enter standby mode after 25 minutes (+/- 5 minutes) of inactivity
- Shall draw less than 1 watt while in standby mode
- Shall return to full power status in less than one second upon signal detection while in standby mode
- Shall feature an input signal detection threshold of -40 dBu, +/- 3 dB on a balanced input to deactivate standby mode
- Shall meet Ecofficient Level 3 requirements
- Shall provide internal universal power supply with IEC power socket and support for international 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz standards
- Control Requirements
- Shall support remote control of volume and muting on one 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector using optional Extron analog volume and mute controllers
- Shall support remote standby control on one 2-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Front Panel Requirements
- Shall provide an LED for power indication that lights green when the unit is receiving power and active, and lights amber when the unit is in standby mode
- Shall provide an LED for indication of the enclosure temperature exceeding the optimal value
- Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
- Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
- Rear Panel Requirements
- Shall provide one input on one 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall provide one output on one 4-pole, 5 mm screw-lock captive screw connector
- Shall support 22 AWG to 12 AWG speaker cables
- Shall provide remote volume, mute, and standby control port on one 5-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall provide recessed, detented potentiometers for attenuation adjustment
- Shall provide green LEDs for input signal presence indication
- Shall provide red LEDs for indication of clip warning and protection circuit activation
- General Requirements
- Shall be enclosed in a rack-mountable 1U, half rack width metal enclosure
- Shall meet regulatory compliances
- Shall meet safety compliances under BSMI, CCC, CE, c-UL, GS, KC Mark, PSE, S Mark, and UL
- Shall be UL listed for plenum airspaces and meet UL 2043 compliance for heat and smoke release, when used with an optional Extron Flexible Conduit Adapter Kit
- Shall meet UL 60065, IEC 60065, and BSEN 60065 for safety
- Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, CISPR 22 Class B, C-tick, FCC Class B, ICES, and VCCI Class B
- Shall comply with appropriate requirements of EU code of conduct, RoHS, and WEEE
- Shall provide three year parts and labor warranty
