- Provide a video scaler that shall support one input and one output with a buffered loop-through for processing and converting 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and HD-SDI video sources to HDMI.
- Rack-mountable scaler for 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, and HD-SDI video sources and associated digital and analog audio
- Video Input Requirements
- Shall provide one (1) video input connection
- One BNC for 12G-SDI/6G-SDI/3G-SDI/HD-SDI
- Shall accept 12G-SDI/6G-SDI/3G-SDI/HD-SDI signals up to 11.88 Gbps
- Shall comply with SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 424M, SMPTE ST-2081, and SMPTE ST-2082 digital video standards
- Shall provide automatic detection of input video parameters
- Determine total pixels, active pixels, active lines, H/V starting points, H/V image positions, H/V image sizes, and video clock phase
- Shall provide image adjustments for brightness, contrast, detail, H/V positioning, overscan, and sizing
- Shall provide storage and recall of video parameters and picture settings
- Automatic memories for each video input
- Save video settings and picture adjustments without user intervention
- Automatically recall settings when the same video rate is encountered
- Selectively enable or disable automatic memories
- Manual user presets
- Save picture adjustments
- User presets may be saved and recalled using front panel controls
- User presets may be saved and recalled electronically via Ethernet or USB connection

- Shall support custom EDID and output resolutions
- User-defined output resolutions up to 600 MHz pixel clock
- Upload custom EDID files
- Capture EDID from a display or other destination device
- Shall provide reclocking on the buffered SDI loop-through
- Shall provide image scaling and video format conversion at 30-bit precision and support 1080i deinterlacing
- Shall provide aspect ratio control
- When in FILL mode, the video image on the output screen shall always fill the output screen without letterbox or pillarbox
- When in FOLLOW mode, the video image on the output screen shall always preserve the aspect ratio of the input signals without distortion
- Shall support locking of the output frame rate to the frame rate of the input
- Shall provide internal test patterns for calibration and setup
- Shall support image freeze via Ethernet or USB connection
- Shall support automatic muting of video and sync output when no video input signal is present

- Embed any analog audio input signal or up to four pairs of AES3 audio channels from the SDI input onto the HDMI output
- Shall provide a delay in the audio output to match the corresponding video processing delay
- Shall support individual muting of the analog stereo or SDI audio input
- Shall provide gain and attenuation adjustments for analog input audio
- Shall support audio output volume control for the analog and HDMI embedded audio

- Logo Image Keying and Display Requirements
- Shall provide the convenience of uploading custom images, which can be displayed as a screen saver after a predefined duration of inactivity at the video input, or whenever the input is disconnected between presentations

- Logo graphics in BMP, JPG, PNG, or TIFF format may be uploaded to the unit
- Full screen images up to 4K resolution can also be displayed to eliminate loss of video between presentations
