- Driver Requirements
- Shall consist of a 6.5" (16.5 cm) polypropylene cone woofer
- Shall consist of a 3/4" (1.9 cm) ferrofluid-cooled dome tweeter
- Performance Requirements
- Shall provide a frequency range of 50 Hz to 20 kHz, -10 dB below average SPL, measured on-axis in half space
- Shall provide a power capacity of 25 watts (rms) continuous pink noise per IEC 60268-5 and 50 watts (rms) continuous program
- Shall provide a nominal sensitivity of 86 dB SPL (1 W, 1 m) measured in half space
- Shall provide a nominal impedance of 8 ohms
- Shall provide a cross over frequency of 4.2 kHz
- Shall provide a nominal conical coverage angle of 110°
- Electrical Requirements
- Shall support 8 ohm direct connection from power amplifiers
- Shall support one incoming and one outgoing speaker level signal on one 4-pole, 5 mm captive screw connector
- Shall support wiring multiple speakers using parallel or loop-through wiring
- Shall support a maximum wire gauge of 12 AWG per connection point for a single wire
- Shall support a maximum wire gauge of 16 AWG per connection point for two wires
- Shall provide an internal overload protection circuit
- Enclosure Requirements
- Shall consist of an open back, infinite baffle design
- Shall have a white, paintable textured finish
- Shall provide a secondary, seismic tie-off point
- Shall provide a speaker wire strain relief tie-down point
- Shall provide of a thin-edged bezel surrounding the grille
