Extron Empowers Radboud University with Future-Ready AV Infrastructure

Anaheim, California (May 20, 2026) - Radboud University, one of Europe’s leading public research institutions, has partnered with Extron and Dutch AV integrator Fidato B.V. to modernize its instructional spaces with a flexible, scalable, and future-ready AV solution. The university selected Extron’s NAV Pro AV over IP system to support its growing need for adaptable learning environments, where both instructors and students can collaborate seamlessly. The installation upgraded three classrooms on the Heyendaal campus, introducing advanced distribution, switching, and control technologies that improve usability while preparing the university for anticipated changes in how teaching spaces will be designed and utilized.
“Extron’s NAV System gave us the flexibility and reliability we needed for Radboud University’s present and future classroom requirements,” said Erik te Vaanhold, AV Project Manager at Fidato B.V. “Its straightforward setup, intuitive tools, and license-free architecture made installation efficient and future expansion easy to plan for.”
With the new systems, each classroom now supports multiple collaborative clusters, intuitive instructor control via Extron TouchLink Pro touchpanels, and centralized management through the NAVigator System Manager. These enhancements not only simplify daily operations but also establish a reliable foundation for integrating additional classrooms into a wider networked AV infrastructure. Encouraged by the positive response from faculty and staff, Radboud has already committed to a second phase that will extend the same design to five more learning spaces, ensuring consistency, scalability, and long-term value across the university’s AV ecosystem.
